Sizing & fit

What size should I order?

Match your everyday bra cup size — not the band, just the cup. If you wear a 32C bra, order nubare in C. The cup letter is what determines lift and coverage; band size is irrelevant for self-adhesive inserts.

If you're between cups (say B-leaning-C), size down to B. Most people read fuller in nubare than they expect.

I'm between sizes — should I size up or down?

Size down. Self-adhesive inserts read fuller than wired bras of the same letter because they sit higher on the chest. If you're between B and C, B will look like the C you'd expect.

If after wearing them once you disagree, the 30-Day Wear-It Fit Guarantee covers a full refund. You keep the inserts.

Will nubare work for my cup size?

Probably yes. We size by your actual cup letter — A, B, C, D, DD — not by ranges that group everything together. (For context: NuBra's "Size A" covers everything from 30A to 38AA. We don't do that.)

If you wear a band size at the extreme ends (28-band or 42-band), the cup proportion may not feel right. Email support@getnubare.com with your bra size and we'll tell you whether it's a match.

I have asymmetrical breasts. Does nubare work?

Yes. Order based on your larger side. We include thin lift inserts that you can stack inside the smaller side to even things out — same trick a tailored bra would use, but you control the layering.

I've had a breast augmentation — can I use nubare?

In most cases, yes — but check with your surgeon first if you're under 12 months post-op. Implants change how skin sits and how adhesives bond. After full healing, nubare works the same as on natural breasts.

If your implants sit very high or very firm, the lift effect will be subtler than on natural tissue. Email us with your implant profile if you want a sizing recommendation.

How it works & application

How do I apply nubare?

Clean dry skin, no lotion, no oil, no sunscreen. Peel one insert from its film. Starting at the outside (under-arm side), press the curve against your skin and smooth inward toward the center. Repeat with the second insert. The full guide is in the box and on the product page.

If they slip while you're wearing them, you applied too much pressure too fast — let them rest a second between sections next time.

How long do they hold for?

A full day — 8 to 12 hours of normal wear. Heat, humidity, and sweat shorten that window; cool dry conditions extend it. Reapplication takes 30 seconds if you feel one start to lift.

Do they work with backless dresses, strapless tops, and plunging necklines?

Yes to all three — that's what they're for. Backless dresses: apply, dress, done. Strapless: same. Plunging necks: place the inner edge slightly tighter to hold cleavage shape; we have a 30-second video on the product page.

Will they show through thin fabrics?

Through one layer of cotton, jersey, or silk — no. Through sheer chiffon or wet swim fabric — yes, you'll see the edge. The shade-match shades (we make 4) are designed to disappear under everything that isn't sheer.

Do they show through white?

Match the shade to your skin tone, not to the fabric. White over a matched-to-skin insert reads like skin underneath. White over a mismatched insert reads like a band of color. Use the shade finder on the product page.

Care & reuse

How do I clean and reuse nubare?

After wearing, rinse the adhesive side under cool water with a drop of mild soap. Rub gently with your fingertip to lift any oil or lint. Pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Stick them back to the protective film and store at room temperature.

Don't use a washcloth — fibers transfer to the adhesive and shorten its life.

How many times can I wear them?

About 30 wears with proper cleaning. The adhesive degrades faster if you store them in a hot bathroom, leave them on the protective film with lint stuck on, or use moisturizer right before applying.

When the adhesive starts to feel tacky-but-not-grippy, it's time for a new pair.

The adhesive isn't sticking anymore — what do I do?

First, check your skin: any lotion, body oil, or sunscreen residue will break the seal. Wash the insert (cool water + mild soap, see above) and your chest, then dry both completely.

If it's still not gripping after a clean wash, the adhesive has reached end-of-life. Time for a new pair.

Suitability

Is nubare safe for sensitive skin?

We don't recommend nubare for sensitive or thin skin. The adhesive is medical-grade, but skin that reacts to most adhesives — bandages, kinesio tape, sticky bras you've tried before — will likely react to ours too.

If you have any known adhesive sensitivity and still want to try nubare, do a patch test first. Stick a small piece of one insert to the inside of your forearm for 24 hours. If you don't see redness, itching, or swelling, you're probably fine. If you do, return it under our 30-Day Wear-It Fit Guarantee — full refund, you keep the inserts.

Can I wear nubare while pregnant or breastfeeding?

We don't recommend it. Skin sensitivity increases during pregnancy and breastfeeding — even people who've never reacted to adhesives can develop a reaction during these months. Once you're past that window, nubare is fair game again.

Where on my body do I apply nubare?

Inside your clothing, not directly on skin. nubare inserts sit against the inside of a top, dress, or strapless garment to give you the lift, smoothing, or shape you want. Make sure that area of clothing is clean and dry, and your skin underneath is free of lotions, oils, or sunscreens that interfere with hold.

Shipping

When will my order arrive?

Standard shipping is free and takes 7–16 business days depending on pack size. Express ships in 4–7 business days for $30–$85 depending on pack size. Both options visible at checkout.

If your order is for a specific date, choose Express and we'll confirm the cutoff date in your shipping email.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet — currently US mainland only. Sign up at getnubare.com to be notified when we expand. (Hawaii and Alaska are also currently outside our shipping zone; sorry.)

Where can I track my order?

You'll receive a tracking link by email when your order ships. If your tracking hasn't updated for 5+ business days, email support@getnubare.com — we'll check with the carrier.

Returns & guarantee

What if they don't fit?

Use the 30-Day Wear-It Fit Guarantee. Email support@getnubare.com within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund the full order, including standard shipping. You keep the inserts — we can't restock items that have been against skin, so they're yours either way.

The guarantee covers your first order. Express shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has shipped.

Can I return nubare if I change my mind?

For your first order: yes, under the 30-Day Wear-It Fit Guarantee — full refund, no questions about why, you keep the inserts.

For repeat orders or items beyond fit issues: all self-adhesive products are final sale due to hygiene. We can't accept returns we can't restock.

My order arrived damaged — what do I do?

Email support@getnubare.com within 30 days with your order number, a photo of the damage, and a short description. We'll send a replacement at our cost or refund — your choice. You don't need to send the original back.

What's nubare made of?

Medical-grade silicone with a hypoallergenic acrylic adhesive on the application side and a soft fabric backing on the outer side. The adhesive is the same family used in surgical wound dressings — designed for repeated skin contact.

Is nubare hypoallergenic, vegan, and cruelty-free?

The adhesive is hypoallergenic (medical-grade). The materials are vegan — no animal-derived ingredients. We don't test on animals and our suppliers don't either.

"Hypoallergenic" doesn't mean reaction-proof — see our suitability note. Sensitive-skin individuals should still patch-test.

How is nubare different from Boomba, NuBra, or Bristols 6?

We size by your actual cup letter, not by ranges that group everything together. (NuBra's "Size A" covers 30A through 38AA.) We're rated for ~30 wears with care, not a vague "100 wears" claim that customer reviews don't support. We're medical-grade silicone with hypoallergenic adhesive — same as the category leaders, no shortcuts.

Are these reusable?

Yes — about 30 wears per pair with proper cleaning and storage. Most users get 4 to 6 weeks of regular wear out of one pair. After that the adhesive starts losing grip and it's time for a new one.

Will sweat or water make them fall off?

Light sweat — no issue, the adhesive is designed for body contact. Heavy sweat (gym workout, hot summer day) or pool/ocean water — yes, the seal weakens. Save nubare for events, not workouts.
